This adults-only hotel in the Canary Islands is a “Destination Inclusive Luxury Resort”, an innovative all-inclusive concept with cultural and destination immersion activities both inside and outside the hotel.

Photoshooting

The photographs taken for the exclusive hotel Paradisus by Meliá Salinas Lanzarote are part of our photography service for hotels, during the photo shooting we photographed different facilities of the hotel to update its image gallery. In this second post we show photographs of different areas of the Spa (treatments room and jacuzzi) and photographs of one of the suites of the hotel.
In interior photography we respect, as far as possible, the ambient light in the space to be photographed. In some of the photographs we show at this post, we also use supporting light to highlight certain areas of the photographs.

Photo editing

All photo shooting was done with Hasselblad medium format cameras and equipment. The photographs were shot and checked in situ, but the edition work was carried out at our head office.

One of the most difficult aspects to control in indoor photography based on ambient light is the control of the interior and exterior temperature, as well as the different light temperatures offered by the artificial lighting points (incandescent bulbs, LEDs, etc.) . We place special emphasis on this aspect of photographic editing because it allows us to offer a balanced and coherent atmosphere from the point of view of lighting.

New five-star resort Paradisus by Meliá, with exquisite architecture and interior design. This exclusive luxury hotel is set in lush surroundings and located in front of San Agustín beach.
This Gran Canaria accommodation is a “Destination Inclusive® Luxury Resort”, an innovative all-inclusive concept that offers immersive local culture and destination activities both inside and outside the hotel.

Phooshooting

For this post we have selected some photographs of some of the facilities of the almost complete photoshooting we did for this luxury hotel when it was about to open its doors.
The shots belong to different Spa views of the interior and also one outdoor shot of the Spa area gardens.

Photographic Technique

IIn the photographs we show in this post of this exclusive new resort Paradisus Gran Canaria, whenever possible, ambient and natural lighting. The aim is to reflect the scene as closely as possible to what we would see with our own eyes.

Hotel Saratoga Spa Photographs

With a long history, the 4-star Superior Hotel Saratoga was the first urban hotel built in 1962 in the heart of the city of Palma. A reference hotel on the Mallorcan island that, year after year of constant work and innovation, has been growing and renewing itself, adapting to the needs of each client.

Last summer we worked on a complete photo shooting for this 4 star hotel. On this occasion, we have selected some images of its SPA facilities. The shots belong to one of the Spa cabins, the water circuit and the swimming pool of the Spa. There are also photographs of other facilities such as the gym and the Balinese bed area in the main pool of the hotel. So you will find in this post interior shots and also exterior photographs.

Photographic Technique

In the photographs we show in this post of Hotel Saratoga, we used, whenever possible, ambient lighting. The aim is to reflect the scene as closely as possible to what we would see with our eyes.

Meliá Hacienda del Conde is a 5-star hotel, located in Buenavista del Norte, an almost secret corner of the archipelago where the most authentic Tenerife lives on. Next to a golf course, between the ocean and the mountains.
Hacienda del Conde Meliá Collection is an exclusive colonial-style hotel that captures the splendour of an era. The former home of the Count of Siete Fuentes now houses this select adults-only hotel whose atmosphere exudes elegance and warm hospitality.

Photoshooting

The photoshooting we worked for this 5 star hotel Meliá Hacienda del Conde includes different shots of different facilities. In today’s post we show you a selection of photographs of different facilities of the YHI Spa: water circuit, treatment room, multi-purpose room and relaxation room.

Photographic technique

In the different photographs of YHI Spa at the Meliá Hacienda del Conde that you can see here, we use natural and ambient lighting. As these are different interior installations we try to work with natural and ambient light. However, in some photographs it has been necessary to use supporting light to highlight certain areas.

The Spa photographs we have selected for this article are a small selection of images that we have taken for different hotels. We photograph their different spa facilities. The selected hotels are the following: GF Victoria in Tenerife, Gran Hotel Atlantis Bahía Real in Fuerteventura, Hotel Las Madrigueras Golf & Spa in Tenerife, H10 Andalucía Plaza in Marbella, H10 Casa del Mar in Mallorca, H10 Rubicon Palace in Lanzarote, Aguas de Ibiza, Royal Garden Villas in Tenerife, Seaside Palm Beach in Gran Canaria, The One Barcelona, The One Palacio da Anunciada in Lisbon.

Photoshooting

The photographs taken in 4 and 5 star hotels belong to different areas of their Spa facilities. We photographed water circuit, indoor pools, treatment rooms, rest areas, as well as spa facilities located in outdoor areas of some of the hotels mentioned before.

Photographic Technique

Spa photograph is generally framed within interior photography. In this type of images, the composition of the elements, the framing, the lighting play a fundamental role…

Before each shot, it’s necessary to prepare the composition of each of the elements that will make up the shot to find the balance. In addition, in some photographs, we need to use extra light to be able to illuminate the darkest rooms. We also play with ambient light and elements such as candles to reflect a more intimate and welcoming space.

Photograpic Edition

All photographs was done with Hasselblad medium format cameras and equipment. The photographs were shot and checked in situ, but the edition work was carried out at our base center. With a careful editing of each of the photographs we guarantee an optimal resoult.
