Various factors must be taken into account when photographing interiors such as playing with straight and curved lines, the visual elements in the framing that establish the size of a room, lighting, views, etc.
Roger Méndez carefully composes each shot to create a balance between the elements featured in each scene. As a result, preparing and arranging the contents of the interior is vitally important.
He uses natural light whenever possible, supported by fill light for the darkest areas. To achieve perfect lighting, he studies the best time of day for each photograph in advance of the shot.
Finally, he takes special care when editing the photographs during post-production to ensure he obtains the best possible result.
