The Hotel Meliá Cala Galdana is located in the south of Minorca, in the municipality of Ferreries, and strategically located on the seafront of Cala Galdana beach, one of the most beautiful coves of this Balearic island.
In this paradisiacal place, Meliá Cala Galdana offers its guests spectacular views of the coast and nature. In addition, this hotel has been awarded for its environmental, cultural and social contribution.

Photoshooting

The photoshooting we worked on last summer for the five star hotel Melia Cala Galdana, includes photographs of different facilities.
For today’s post we have made a selection of some photographs showing the following facilities: its infinity pool, its Casa Nostra terrace at sunset, a detail of the lobby and a photograph of a dinner set-up on the terrace of the Cape Nou restaurant.

Photographic technique

In the different photographs that we show today in this post of the hotel Meliá Cala Galdana, we use natural and ambient lighting.
The warm Mediterranean light helps us to achieve this effect in each photograph. Only in some shots was it necessary to use supporting light to highlight some of the elements that made up the scene to be photographed.

Photograpic Edition

All photo shooting was done with Hasselblad medium format cameras and equipment. The photographs were shot and checked in situ, but the edition work was carried out at our head office.
One of the most difficult aspects to control in indoor photography based on ambient light is the control of the interior and exterior temperature. We place special emphasis on this aspect of photographic editing because it allows us to offer a balanced and coherent atmosphere from lighting point of view.

Photographs for H10 Ocean Suites hotel, located on the island of Fuerteventura, are part of our hotel photography service. In this post we have selected a sample of images from an extensive photo shooting we did for this hotel.

H10 Ocean Suites hotel is located 550 metres from a white sand beach and near the dunes of Corralejo Nature Park, on the island of Fuerteventura. It is an exclusive hotel with an elegant and modern interior design. It also has extensive gardens with native vegetation.

Photoshooting

For this post we have selected some of the photographs from the photo shooting we did for this hotel.
The photographs correspond to the outdoor pool area and some indoor facilities such as the lobby and one of the rooms. In all the photographs we tried to reflect the hotel facilities as faithfully as possible so that our client can use them in their different promotional materials.

Photographic technique

In this post we show both interior photographs (the room and lobby shots) and images of the outside area of the hotel (the pool shots).
In the different photographs we tried to use natural and ambient lighting. Only in some of the interior shots was it necessary to use supporting light to highlight certain areas of the photographs. In outdoor shots the favourable weather helped to achieve the result shown at the end of this post.

All photo shooting was done with Hasselblad medium format cameras and equipment. The photographs were shot and checked in situ, but the edition work was carried out at our head office.

Jardin Tecina hotel is a luxury resort located in the natural paradise of the island of La Gomera. Bathed by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, La Gomera is an idyllic paradise with a subtropical climate between the African continent and Spain.

Jardín Tecina is a unique resort in the Canary Islands. Located in the quiet town of Playa Santiago, it crowns a spectacular cliff that transports you to a magical and indescribable space. It also has an incredible botanical garden of 70,000 square metres with more than 50 species of plants from all over the world.

The hotel’s location makes it possible to enjoy a unique combination of nature, sport, relaxation and leisure.

Photoshooting

Within the photo shooting made for Jardín Tecina hotel we wanted to select the photographs that we show you at the end of this post. The images correspond to the solarium of the Spa, some of the restaurants (main restaurant terrace, Gara restaurant and Trattoria Club Laurel) and the incredible gardens of the hotel.

Photographic Technique

In the photographs we show you of Jardín Tecina hotel, we use ambient and natural lighting. The lighting in the different facilities is enough to be able to photograph the different spaces and, in addition, by using it we manage to show a more natural atmosphere and closer to what we would see in person. In some of the photographs we also use supporting lighting to highlight certain areas.

Photograpic Edition

All the photo shooting was done with Hasselblad medium format cameras and equipment. The photographs were shot and checked during the development of the photoshooting. The editing work was developed in a second phase, in our base center.

H10 Palacio Colomera hotel photographs we present in this post are part of our photography service for hotels. These images we show here belong to the photoshoting we took for this new H10 Hotel in the city of Córdoba.

H10 Palacio Colomera hotel photographs

The H10 Palacio Colomera is a hotel located in the former Casa Colomera, built in 1928, which was the palace of the counts of the same name. Located in the central Plaza de las Tendillas, the hotel project has sought to recover the palatial atmosphere of the old building.

Photoshooting

We have taken a selection of interior shots and two exterior shots of the hotel. On this occasion, we wanted to show shots of the different types of rooms, the impressive atrium, the sunset over the upper terrace and the main façade of the former palace.

Photographic technique

In interior shots we want to reflect as closely as possible the atmosphere the potential client will find. For this reason, we consider different elements. Play with the straight and curved lines, the elements of the frame to capture the spaciousness of the room, the lighting, the views …

In addition, whenever possible, we use natural and ambient light, working with extra lighting in the darkest areas of some shots. To get the right light, we previously study the most appropriate light time to shoot each photograph.

All photoshooting for H10 Palacio Colomera was done with Hasselblad medium format cameras and equipment. The photographs were shot and checked during the development of the photosoohting. The editing work were developed in a second phase, in our head offices.

One of the most difficult aspects to control in indoor photography based on ambient light is the control of the indoor and outdoor temperature, as well as the different light temperatures offered by artificial lighting points (incandescent bulbs, LEDs …). We place particular emphasis on this aspect of photo editing because it enables a balanced and coherent atmosphere from a lighting point of view.

Photographs for Gran Hotel Bahía Real belong to a photo shooting with models that we took in different facilities of this hotel. These photographs belongs to two categories in which we work: hotel photographs and lifestyle photographs.

Gran Hotel Bahía Real is located in Corralejo, on the island of Fuerteventura. This hotel has been incorporated into the AM Resorts chain and is currently in the process of being renovated. Its reopening is scheduled for December.

This hotel is located in a privileged location, surrounded by vivid turquoise waters and alongside the white dunes and spectacular beaches in the Dunas de Corralejo Natural Park. In addition, the hotel has, among other facilities, the exclusive Coco Bahía lounge & club, a unique relaxation area surrounded by crystal blue waters with an amazing view of the island of Lobos.

Photoshooting

The photographs for Gran Hotel Bahía Real belong to a photo shooting in which we work with professional models. The main purpose of lifestyle photography is to inspire feelings, emotions, moments, etc. The setting creates the story around each image.

During the photo shooting briefing process, the most outstanding areas of the hotel were previously selected for each of the shots, such as the exclusive Coco Bahía lounge & club, The hotel’s Spa and outdoor areas of the hotel such as the swimming pool and the “Patio de los Naranjeros”.

Photographic Technique

During the photoshooting, we had unbeatable atmospheric conditions that allowed us to work properly all the installations that corresponded to outdoor shots.

In the indoor shots, we used ambient light, previously studying the most appropriate daylight hours depending on the location of the the installation to be photographed. In addition, as it’s a lifestyle photoshooting, the choice and preparattion of each setting to be photographed was essential.

All photo shooting was done with Hasselblad medium format cameras and equipment. The photographs were shot and checked in situ, but the edition work was carried out at our base center.

Royal River Luxury Hotel

Royal River Luxury Hotel is a new, modern and luxurious hotel with fifty villas with private pools and personal concierge service. Located in the most prestigious area in the South of Tenerife. It’s surrounded by exotic gardens and has stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and Costa Adeje Golf course. The opening date of this luxury hotel is scheduled for 18th of December.

Photoshooting

The photographs taken for the Royal River luxury hotel belongs to new facilities. In this post we show you some exterior and interior shots.

Exterior photographs are from the “River Villas”, an exclusive accommodation area for adults, and the Villas with private pool for families. Interior photographs were taken at three of its restaurants: “Flamingo” French bistro, ” Pinapple” breakfast buffet restaurant and “Kokoro” Asian cuisine.

Photographic Technique

In the exterior photographs of “River Villas” and Villas with private pools, we have good atmospheric conditions that allowed us to present these facilities in the most correct way possible. Natural light, composition and good disposition of the area to be photographed are good allies to get that photographic resoult.

In the photographs of the restaurants we carefully prepare all the details of each shot. We use ambient light whenever possible, supported by fill light for darker spaces. To get the right light, we previously study the most appropriate daylight hour according to the location of the restaurants.

All photo shooting was done with Hasselblad medium format cameras and equipment. The photographs were shot and checked in situ, but the edition work was carried out at our base center.

H10 Imperial Tarraco Circus Bar photographs belong to the extensive photoshooting we have made for this hotel located in the historic center of Tarragona. In this second post we share new interior photographs that are part of our photography service for hotels.

H10 Imperial Tarraco Circus Bar photographs

After an extensive refurbishment, H10 Imperial Tarraco, a superior 4-star hotel, opened its doors in July. The hotel reform respected the total volume of the hotel and its external appearance and concentrated all the remodeling work on restructuring the interior.

Lazaro Rosa-Violán was responsible for the interior design project of this hotel, inspired by the Mediterranean. The sea and the fundamental elements of Mediterranean culture are present in all its rooms, as well as Roman-inspired sculptures in the common areas.

Photoshooting

Circus Bar photographs we show in this post are part of the photoshooting we took for H10 Imperial Tarraco. The Circus Bar is accessed directly from the hotel lobby dominated by a Neptune terracotta sculpture. In many aspects and elements of Circus Bar, the idea of the interior designer in charge of the decoration to bet on Mediterranean elements is appreciated: the cauldron and turquoise colours, the use of terracotta, etc.

Photographic technique

Almost all the photographs in this post are from interior shots. In all of them we work with natural and atmosphere lighting, always trying to capture the spaciousness and the architectural and decorative details characteristic of the lobby and Circus Bar. The objective of using ambient lighting whenever possible is being able to reflect, as faithfully as possible, the atmosphere that the potential client will find.

After an extensive refurbishment to adapt the hotel to the demands of the clients, the H10 Imperial Tarraco, a superior 4-star hotel, opened its doors in July with the aim of turning the establishment into a landmark hotel in the city. The hotel has a privileged location in a first-rate heritage environment next to the historic centre of Tarragona and overlooking the sea.

Photoshooting

The photoshooting we made for this hotel was extensive. In today’s post we show different exterior photographs of the hotel in which you can see its location in a historical setting, right in front of the Roman amphitheater, and also its impressive views of the sea. In addition, in the shots it is also clear how the hotel reform respected the total volume of the hotel and its external appearance.

Photographic technique

In the different exterior photographs of H10 Imperial Tarraco that we show in this post, we have favorable atmospheric conditions that allowed us to present the hotel and its surroundings in an appropriate way. The natural light and the privileged surroundings of the hotel have been good allies to obtain the photographic resoult that we show you here.

We selected several images of the facade of this old palace, some photos of the incredible lobby, an image of the “El Patio” restaurant with a breakfast set up located in the elegant atrium of the hotel and a night photograph of the pool.

In exterior photographs, it is essential to have adequate atmospheric conditions so that the facilities can be presented in the most correct way possible. Natural light, exterior light points and the composition of the area to be photographed are good allies to obtain that photographic result.
