The One Palácio da Anunciada is a five-star hotel located in Lisbon, in the most exclusive area of the city. The establishment is located in a 16th century palace that has preserved its essence and majesty, with an interior design that highlights the original beauty of the building and provides comfort and exclusivity.

During the photo shooting we photographed different facilities of the hotel to update its image gallery. In this post we show photographs of part of the exquisite gastronomic offer offered by this 5 star hotel.

Photographic technique

In food photography, the aim is to capture the “flavor”, color, shape and texture of the food. Here the choice of lighting and the composition of the dish play an essential role.
On this occasion, in addition to the facilities of this 5-star hotel, we photographed some of the dishes offered in its restaurants.
This type of photography requires careful editing to achieve a good final result.

Photo editing

All photo shooting was done with Hasselblad medium format cameras and equipment. The photographs were shot and checked on site, but the editing was done at our base center, where we put special emphasis on this aspect of photo editing because it allows us to offer a balanced and coherent atmosphere from the point of view of lighting.

Food photo shoot for H10 Croma hotel that we made during the complete photoshooting for this new hotel of H10 Hotels in Malaga. These photographs are part of our gastronomy photography portfolio.

H10 Croma hotel is located in a privileged area right in the centre of Malaga and with access to the main points of interest in the city. It is a newly built hotel that opened its doors in August 2022, the architectural project is the work of the renowned architect Rafael Moneo.

Photoshooting

For this post we have selected the gastronomy photographs that we took during the complete report for this new hotel, H10 Croma, in Malaga. The shots belong to different gastronomic proposals offered by the hotel’s restaurant. These are images of gastronomy.

Photographic Technique

The aim of this type of images is to capture the “flavour”, the colour, the shape and the texture of the food. In addition, this type of photography requires careful editing to achieve a good final result.

Photo editing

The entire photoshooting was done with Hasselblad medium format cameras and equipment. The photographs were shot and checked on site, but the editing was done at our base.

Jesús González chef

Jesús González is one of the most prestigious Canarian chefs and is considered a pioneer in updating Canarian cuisine (Manuel Iglesias Award 2013), adapting traditional styles to new techniques and elaborations, but always with a careful respect for the flavours and identity of the ingredients he uses. He was chef and owner of the restaurant El Duende in Los Realejos, where he blazed a trail that revolutionised the gastronomy of the Canary Islands. He is currently head chef at the Hotel Las Madrigueras (Two Suns, Repsol Guide), in Playa de las Américas (Tenerife) since 2013.

González is committed to a cuisine with essentially island flavours and aromas, exploring the heritage of techniques and raw materials of the islands to create a menu where authenticity, balance and modernity go hand in hand.

Pedro Rodríguez Dios is a renowned chef from Tenerife. It is always a pleasure for us to collaborate with him.

The gastronomic art of Pedro Rodríguez Dios in photographs

Pedro Rodríguez Dios is one of the great chefs of Tenerife origin.
He started his career as a chef at the well-known restaurant “El Duende”. A few years later he worked in the restaurants “La Gañanía” and “Mirador de Humboldt”. During these years, he was awarded several distinctions, among them, the “Best Work in Catering” of El Diario de Avisos or “Cocinero Revelación” in Madrid Fusión.
Pedro Rodríguez Dios has co-authored several publications, including two in which we also collaborated: “Cocina de Canarias La Evolución” and “Cocina de Canarias la Tradición”.
He currently runs his own company, where he develops tailor-made desserts for restaurants, hotels, catering companies…, gives courses and advises companies in the gastronomic field.
His sensitivity towards the Canarian product and his delicate elaborations make him a renowned and sought-after chef by lovers of good food.

H10 Porto Poniente hotel is located on the seafront next to Poniente beach in Benidorm. H10 Porto Poniente is a newly built four-star superior hotel. Its maritime-inspired interior design stands out, which is reflected in the different details of its decoration, its elegant rooms and its two plunge pools with stunning sea views. The establishment also features the Tortuga Restaurant, the Marea Alta Rooftop Bar with sea views, and a Despacio Spa Centre with heated swimming pool and gym.

Photoshooting

As this is a newly built hotel, we worked on an extensive photographic report to show, as faithfully as possible, the facilities of the hotel H10 Porto Poniente.
This week we have made a new selection of photographs including different shots of their restaurant Tortuga and a gastronomy image for the hotel’s image bank.

Photographic technique

The photographs shown in this post belong to interior facilities of H10 Porto Poniente hotel. In this type of photography we always try to work with natural and ambient light.
We take photographs with almost no supporting light to ensure that the images reflect a great naturalness. The aim is that each of our photographs shows, as faithfully as possible, all the details of this newly built hotel.

Photographic edition

All photo shooting was done with Hasselblad medium format cameras and equipment. The photographs were shot and checked in situ, but the edition work was carried out at our head office.
One of the most difficult aspects to control in indoor photography based on ambient light is the control of the interior and exterior temperature. We place special emphasis on this aspect of photographic editing because it allows us to offer a balanced and coherent atmosphere from lighting point of view.

After an extensive refurbishment, H10 Imperial Tarraco, a superior 4-star hotel, opened its doors to the public with the aim of turning the establishment into a landmark hotel in the city. The hotel has a privileged location, with impressive views of the sea, in a first-rate heritage environment next to the historic center of Tarragona.

Photoshooting

The photographs taken are part of our food photography service. During the photoshooting, we selected a small sample of the wide gastronomic offer that “Alta Mare” restaurant at the H10 Imperial Tarraco offers its clients. In this post to whet your appetite we show some photographs of firsts, main dishes and a dessert.

During this photographic session, the images were taken in the hotel’s facilities, making a preliminary selection of some of the dishes and looking for a reserved area that we adapted to act as a photographic studio.
