Re-edited photographs of the The Ritz Carlton Abama hotel

The Ritz-Carlton, Tenerife, Abama is an oasis of tranquillity surrounded by subtropical vegetation and overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Mount Teide.
This exclusive luxury hotel features Moorish-inspired architecture.
In addition, resort guests can enjoy two Michelin-starred restaurants, M.B and Kabuki, and an 18-hole professional golf course, among other first-class facilities.

Phooshooting

For this post we have selected a new series of photographs of some of the facilities of the reportage we did for this 5 star hotel in Tenerife.
The shots belong to different outdoor facilities of the hotel: pool area, hotel overview and architectural details. We also recovered an interior detail shot of the hotel reception.

Photographic Technique

In the photographs we show in this post of this exclusive resort The Ritz-Carlton, Tenerife, Abama, whenever possible, ambient and natural lighting.
The aim is to reflect the scene as closely as possible to what we would see with our own eyes.

Photo editing

The different photo shootings to which these photographs belong were taken with Hasselblad medium format cameras and equipment. The photographs were shot and checked on site, but the editing was done at our base. In addition, these photographs, having been recovered from old photoshootings, have been re-edited to improve them using current photographic retouching techniques.

The Ritz Carlton Abama hotel photographs

The luxurious 5-star The Ritz Carlton, Abama is a resort surrounded by natural beauty and endless possibilities. Designed to take advantage of Tenerife’s unique climate, it offers an unforgettable experience for guests of all ages. The perfect place for relaxation and fun, it is the perfect host for active travellers, or guests seeking relaxation and wellness. All under the quality standards of The Ritz-Carlton.

Photoshooting

In this post we have selected several images taken during a photo shootings made for The Ritz-Carlton Abama luxury resort. We photographed different types of rooms, the terrace and the show cooking area of the restaurant “El Mirador” and the pedicure room.

Photographic technique

In The Ritz Carlton Abama photographs we always used ambient and natural lighting. It was not necessary to use back-up lighting as the lighting of the different facilities photographed was enough. Our goal is to reflect as closely as possible the atmosphere that the potential client would find when will be at this Luxury 5 star hotel.

Photograpic Edition

All photoshooting was done with Hasselblad medium format cameras and equipment. The photographs were shot and checked during the development of the photosoohting. The editing work were developed in a second phase, in our head offices.

One of the most difficult aspects to control in indoor photography based on ambient light is the control of the indoor and outdoor temperature, as well as the different light temperatures offered by artificial lighting points (incandescent bulbs, LEDs …). We place particular emphasis on this aspect of photo editing because it enables a balanced and coherent atmosphere from a lighting point of view.

New post with new photographs we took for the 5 star hotel The Ritz Carlton Abama, in Tenerife.

We photograph different facilities and set ups for business. In all the images, indoors and outdoors, we used only natural and ambient light that each room provided. We didn’t use additional lighting as it was requested by the client.

Food photographs for M.B The Ritz Carlton Abama

Food photography

Food photography is one of our passions, but if, in addition, the shooting is for the M.B of the Ritz Carlton Abama, it is a complete honor. The restaurant, run by the chef Erlantz Gorostiza, was awarded a Michelin star in 2010.

For the photographs that we show below, we use black background and we work with lighting to contrast the image and highlight the wonderful culinary creations of the chef Erlantz Gorostiza.
